Discussion forum

In the forum of the junior research group of the DG-Sucht a scientific exchange on the topics addiction research and addiction therapy takes place. The forum is open for interested colleagues, even if they are not a member of the DG-Sucht.

For internal discussions we offer an area called “internal exchange”. For this area only members of the DG-Sucht are admitted and have to be enabled first. After registration in the forum please send your forum user name to Prof. Dr. Sabine Vollstädt-Klein, email: s.vollstaedt-klein@zi-mannheim.de, webmaster of the junior research group of the DG-Sucht with the request to have your access activated.

As alternative to the forum we have a Facebook group undefined"junior research group-DG-Sucht", which is open for all “the young and the young at heart” who are interested in addiction research and / or practice.

Online-inquiry on the participation in the German Congress on Addiction 2013

As last year we – the junior research group - would like to actively participate in the organization of the German Congress on Addiction. In order to better be able to evaluate the interests of our potential participants and possible future participants we have implemented an online-survey.

undefinedresults of the survey can be found here

Objective

The junior research group has targeted at shaping the DG-Sucht more known and more attractive especially for students, postgraduates and young professionals in order to increasingly facilitate the exchange of interested and involved young junior researchers and young practitioners. Especially in times of temporary jobs and high work load we regard it for even more important, that young professionals get networked. Young involved colleagues should be able to experience addiction research and addiction therapy as an attractive field of work and not to get overstrained. Therefore we believe that an exchange beyond interdisciplinary limitations at eye level is essential. This includes the communication on possibilities for grants, co-operation and (addiction-specific) political topics. As spokeswomen of the junior research group we consider it as our task to encourage this process.
